Samay Raina, the comedian, who recently found himself in the middle of India’s Got Latent controversy, has just shared a special post. While he had earlier addressed the situation through his Instagram stories, this marks his return to the main grid – and it is a big one.

Samay dropped a video announcing his upcoming tour across Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.

The video begins with a voiceover that reflects on the backlash he faced, “People who buy tickets to listen to all this stuff, they buy tickets and they go to these shows and they sit and listen and they clap for this, whatever this is. I do not know if these are even jokes.”

The video takes us through highlights from his recent Unfiltered by Samay Raina tour across the US and Canada. From Toronto and Chicago to Boston, Newark, Dallas, Detroit, Houston and Kitchener — every stop saw packed venues.

A standout moment in the video? Samay Raina gets a video call from his parents in the middle of a stage act. When they ask who he is with, the comedian flips the camera to show a cheering crowd. 

The clip wraps up with the announcement of his upcoming international show.

Reacting to the post, rapper Badshah wrote, “Baawe.”

Apoorva Mukhija, who also faced heat from the same controversy, commented, “LEGEND.”

Balraj Singh Ghai, a member of the India’s Got Talent panel, said, “Bro’s success is my success. Love you mere Bhai.”

For the unversed, the controversy surrounding Samay Raina and India’s Got Latent began in February after a clip from his show went viral. In the video, Ranveer Allahbadia made some comments about parents and sex that sparked widespread backlash on social media.

As the outrage grew, police complaints were filed against Ranveer, Samay and others involved with the show.

Actor Simu Liu has announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Allison Hsu. The Shang-Chi star shared the news on social media. He revealed that he proposed during a recent trip to Paris.

Taking to Instagram, the 36-year-old actor posted a series of photos from the proposal, including a close-up of Allison’s engagement ring. 

The couple is seen sharing a hug in front of the Eiffel Tower. Liu captioned the post: “Us forever [ring and heart emojis] (sic)”

In another post, Liu expressed his love for Allison with a heartfelt message. “From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch and everything in between, I choose you forever and always,” he wrote.

Allison responded in the comments, writing: “I love you fiance!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sic)”

Following the announcement, several of Liu’s celebrity friends sent their best wishes. Florence Pugh commented, “AHHHHHHH HOW AMAZING! Sending love to you both \[heart emoji] (sic)” while Priyanka Chopra congratulated the couple with high-five and clapping emojis. John Legend wrote: “Congratulations!! (sic)” and musician Finneas added, “YAYYYY CONGRATULATIONS!!!! (sic)”

Simu Liu and Allison Hsu were first linked in late 2022. In a 2023 interview with People, Liu spoke candidly about how their relationship brought a sense of comfort and clarity into their life.

“I think everyone knows the feeling of being in a situation where they’re not fully happy, and then all of a sudden for that to change … it’s such a breath of relief,” he said. “It’s this feeling of ‘Oh, right, it does exist.’ You start to feel like, okay, maybe I’ve just been conditioned to want something that doesn’t exist or I have unrealistic expectations.”

Liu also shared his thoughts on starting a family, saying: “I definitely see kids in my future. I would be surprised if I was not a father ten years from now.

“I think you just hit that point in your life where it starts happening around you and all of your best friends that you grew up just shooting s*** with and being delinquent kids with all of a sudden get to positions of responsibility and parenthood. You’re looking at these guys and you’re like, ‘Oh my God, I never thought you would ever be responsible for another human life.'”

Salman Khan shared a Mother’s Day post on Sunday, thanking his father Salim Khan “for the best mothers in the world”.

Sharing a photo with both his mothers, Salma Khan and Helen, the actor wrote on Instagram, “Thank u dad for the best mothers in the world. To the most beautiful women in my world. Happy Mother’s Day.”

Salim Khan married Salma on November 18, 1964. The couple have four children – Salman, Arbaaz, Sohail, and Alvira. In 1981, Salim married actor Helen Richardson. Together, they adopted a daughter, Arpita.

Meanwhile, Salman recently came under criticism for tweeting about the India-Pakistan ceasefire, while staying silent on Operation Sindoor. 

In his now-deleted tweet, Salman wrote, “Thank God for the ceasefire….” However, the post drew criticism from some users who questioned why the actor had not commented on Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army’s recent precision strikes on terror sites across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

One user asked, “No tweets about Operation Sindoor. Why?” Another wrote, “You didn’t say anything about India’s Operation Sindoor against Pakistan.”

Following the backlash, Salman deleted the tweet. A fan, however, came to his defence, stating, “Just after his tweet, the news came that Pakistan violated the ceasefire. So he deleted that tweet. Now tell me what is Salman Khan’s mistake here?”

The ceasefire, which had been agreed upon by both countries’ military officials, was reportedly violated by Pakistan just hours after the announcement.

Salman Khan had earlier reacted to the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack, which claimed 26 lives, mostly civilians and tourists. At the time, he had tweeted: “Kashmir, heaven on planet earth, turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families. Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainath ko marne ke barabar hai (Killing one innocent person is similar to killing the entire universe).”

In response to the Pahalgam tragedy, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7, targeting multiple terrorist infrastructures across the border.
