Singapore edged past Bangladesh 2-1 in the Group C of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.
With this win, Singapore goes to second in the table after Hong Kong took the top spot following its win over India.

Singapore took the lead on the stoke of the first-half when Song Ui-young tapped the ball home from close range.
The home side started the second-essay with intent and created several chances. Hamza Choudhury, who made his Bangladesh debut this year after switching allegiance, look more influential after the restart.
However, the Lions extended their lead against the run of play. Ikhsan Fandi made it 2-0 for the visiting side in the 58th minute.
The Bengal Tigers finally got a goal back in the 67th minute through Rakib Hossain, however, Hamza failed to equalise in the final minute of the stoppage-time.
With this defeat, Bangladesh moves to to third in the table.
Malaysia thrashes Vietnam 4-0
Malaysia scored four past Vietnam in the Group F of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers at the Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
With this win, the Malayan Tigers goes to the top of the table, while Vietnam moves down to second.
